💮Aloha friends! Chris and LouAnna are out having adventures again! Wow, we slept so good! Was that because they were exhausted, it was nice and dark, it was very quiet, the king bed was so comfy, AC worked amazingly, or some mixture of all of the above?! Doesn't matter because we woke up around 8am (LouAnna) and 9am (Chris) local time. First thing we did was step out onto the balcony and snap this photo of a cruise ship saying hello. 👋 Turns out the ship will be docked here all day with those folks flooding this area. We've never seen a cruise ship that close before. We think we might like to try a cruise at some point.
There is a coffee shop right on this property (about 100 feet from our condo) so we went over there to grab coffee before venturing out for food. The iced Mauna Kea Mocha was delicious as was the Banana Mocha Boost smoothie. Now, for food. We picked a place and set the GPS. We get there to find out it's closed because it's without power due to renovations from the store next door. Noooo!! We decided to go to Walmart and get some things we needed and grab some groceries there. We went back to the condo, made lunch, and lounged around, enjoying the oceanfront views and trade winds right from the balcony and living room.
For dinner, we decided to order delivery from a popular restaurant nearby, Papa Kona. We got the pork quesadilla, LouAnna had the fish tacos and Chris had the pork chop. We were so hungry, we didn't take photos of the food. 😂😂 All of it was delicious and arrived on time and still warm. As LouAnna is writing this post, she's noshing on the leftover quesadilla right from the fridge and it's still very good!
After dinner, the cruise ship that has been docked here all day has pulled away. They leave the horizon about the same time as the sunset (7:20pm local time). For a brief few minutes, we thought about going to the pool but we headed to bed instead. Goodnight Kona. #jetlag
