Day 4 - Cliffs of Moher and Galway

Day 4 had us checking out of Killarney and heading up to the Cliffs of Moher.  On the way there, we passed a very large and extremely rugged golf course.  We can't imagine how anyone could golf on that rugged terraine!  But the golf course was very busy since today's weather was so perfect!

Back to the Cliffs.  They rise up from the Atlantic 390-702 feet and on a clear day, you can see the Aran Islands.  Here are just a few pictures of the breathtaking cliffs and the ocean crashing below.

We stopped for lunch at a little town just north of the Cliffs and LouAnna got fish and chips at the Ritz House!  Yummy!  She also tried the Smithwick's beer today, and said it was pretty tasty, as well.  Then, it was off to Galway where we will stay for the next two nights.  One thing that LouAnna didn't expect from the countryside is how cute the Irish houses are.  They paint them just about any color on the spectrum!  Here's a couple she could capture on her phone as Chris was driving between 25-62mph!  She missed a couple great ones, like the deep red one and the Colt Blue 2-story houses!  And here's how cute the little town is that we passed on the way to Galway, too!

The Salthill Hotel is just a narrow road away from the beach!  It, too, was very beautiful, as all of Ireland has been so far!

It doesn't seem like we did very much today.  We will explore more of Galway tomorrow, after some rest...today was a LOT of driving!!  Here's how far we went today.
